Dr. Muna Naash of the University of Oklahoma as an endowed tenured professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UH. Dr. Naash is widely recognized as an authority on genetic mutations associated with hereditary retinal disorders. She has achieved both national and international recognition for her work involving viral and non-viral ocular gene delivery. Dr. Naash has maintained an impressive, federally funded, research portfolio over the past two decades. She is currently the PI of 3 active NIH RO1 grants, with total direct costs exceeding $3.3 million, extending out to 2019. In addition, she has active funding from Foundation Fighting Blindness and the Oklahoma Center for Adult Stem Cell Research.
