"My goal is to investigate how metformin's clinical pharmacokinetics (how the drug is absorbed, distributed, metabolized, and excreted) and pharmacodynamics (the drug's effects on the body) are altered in obese patients after undergoing gastric bypass surgery. This research aims to understand better how these physiological changes impact metformin's efficacy and safety, ultimately guiding dose adjustments and optimizing treatment strategies for this patient population to improve their therapeutic outcomes."
