Degree:
- Biology, B.S. from the University of Houston
"As a graduate student at the University of Houston, I intend to pursue research in biomedical imaging, focusing on optical coherence tomography (OCT). This interest comes from direct experience: as an ophthalmic assistant, I operated OCT scanners daily, capturing data that informed clinical diagnoses, and I came to want to understand the engineering beneath the instrument. Dr. Kirill Larin’s work on optical coherence tomography aligns precisely with the technology I have worked with. My goal is to contribute to research on imaging-based diagnostic tools — how device design affects diagnostic accuracy and clinical usability — supporting my aim of working in medical device development."
